While not all of the material is individually worthy of five stars, the overall collection and the basis for it are very much worthy I picked up this book at a small festival for indy comics creators, and talked to two of the contributors The idea of doing a master s project of sequential art is in itself inspiring, but to do a GROUP master s project and publish the results for public perusal is mind blowing. The individual stories are wildly different, and there are several of them where I want to see of the story Even the weakest of the bunch was interesting to read, and to use as a point of comparison in terms of styles of storytelling. My personal favorites were the segments by Maia Kobabe, Shane McDermott and Nancy Teresa, but you will probably find your own favorites Nancy Teresa s piece was very manga, and the Maia Kobabe and Shane McDermott pieces were traditional sequential art storytelling, but there are some very experimental pieces worth examining.Overall, an excellent sampler, and it will be interesting to watch for these graduates, to see what they produce in the future.
